La prima è che da oggi scriverò il mio blog anche in inglese. La seconda è che online sta andando a gonfie vele!
Per quanto riguarda la prima novità. Avendo giocato anche tornei all'estero, ed essendo Pokerstars.it una poker room ormai conosciuta anche al di fuori dei confini italiani, voglio raccontare la mia vita, la mia carriera e i obiettivi da giocatore ad una platea più ampia. Sono tanti anche i non-italiani che già mi seguono e così darò modo a loro di seguirmi un pò meglio da oggi!
Per quanto riguarda il periodo positivo online. Sono in good run da Marzo. Chiamarla good run non è proprio corretto. Holdem manager mi dice più o meno che sto andando alla perfezione (non sfortunato - ma nemmeno fortunato). Il messaggio è che sto vincendo!
Come ho scritto negli scorsi blog, sto giocando da Gennaio principalmente Cash Game.
Se i primi due mesi dell'anno li ho impiegati giocando limiti bassi (nl200 principalmente) per capire un pò le dinamiche di una tipologia di gioco fino a quel momento per me sconosciuta. Da Marzo in poi ho ingranato la marcia, giocando fino al nl1000.
Ho una media bb/100 altissima, anche se ammetto di aver fatto, e continuando a fare, un pò di selection. Non c'è vergogna a dirlo. Un buon giocatore di poker penso che deve sapere quando mettere da parte l'ego e quando no.
Per quanto riguarda il profitto. Ad aprile ho giocato solamente 16k hands. Il profitto che ho generato ad Aprile, 20k circa, mi rende comunque molto soddisfatto.
Probabilmente con un pò più di action posso ancora migliorare!
I miei obiettivi online restano sempre quelli che ho fin ora detto. Profit a 6 cifre nel cash game e Supernova Elite in break even ai stg.
Anche ai stg hup sta finalmente andando anche un pò meglio. Avevo purtroppo attreversato un anno di varianza ultranegativa. Per fortuna un bel pò di risultati live e l'alta rakeback, che mi ha garantito lo status di Supernova Elite, mi hanno permesso di far comunque profit. Un anno di varianza negativa comunque non è solo un momento negativo. Mi ha portato a conoscere ancora meglio me stesso e il poker. E mi sento adesso un giocatore più forte di prima.
Adesso mi trovo sul mio volo che mi porterà a Milano. Da lì andrò a Sanremo dove andrò a giocare il grand final dell'italian Poker Tour.
I prossimi appuntamenti live saranno: tutti gli IPT della prossima stagione. Una decina di eventi alle WSOP dal 22 Giugno fino al Main Event. Ho poi deciso da quest'anno di partecipare a tutta la stagione dell'European Poker Tour. Il programma della la prossima stagione EPT è davvero interessante, forse il migliore di sempre. Voglio provare a raggiungere un grosso risultato a livello internazionale al più presto.
Cercherò anche di godermi un pò di Estate. Vivo in Sicilia e non ho bisogno di aspettare il Sole delle Bahamas per il PCA per abbronzarmi un pò! :)

I have two main news to share here in my new blog.
My blog will have an English version from today on and this is because it has now become very popular.
But there are more reasons that brought me to this decision. I have played many tournaments abroad and PokerStars.it is now known everywhere around the world and this convinced me to move even further, telling my stories, my life, my career and my goals to as many players as I can reach. More and more non-Italian players are starting to follow me and hopefully this will help to keep in touch easily.
Second "news", I am doing great with my poker playing lately. I have experienced a good run all over March. I wouldn’t really say “good run”... According to Hold’em Manager, I have been closed to perfection (not unlucky but not lucky as well). The truth is... I am winning! As I have written recently, I am mostly playing cash game since last January.
I played low limits for the first two months of the year (mainly No Limit 200) just to help me understand the dynamic and typology of a game since then unknown to me. And I must confess I have learn quite fast, as I have then moved to higher limits up to No Limit 1000.
At the moment i have a so high bb/100 avarage, although I must admit I have done (and I am still doing) a tight tables selection. I believe a player shouldn’t be ashamed to confess that. A good player knows when it’s time to be proud and when it’s not.
About my profits. I have only played 16k hands during the whole April. The profit I generated it’a a reason to be fully satisfied by the way!
I truly believe I can still improve a lot if I increase my action!
My goals for online poker haven’t changed. 6 digit numbers profit for cash game and Supernova Elite status with break even profit for Sit And Goes.
I have also improved my Sit and Goes’ results. I experienced an extremely negative variance with Sit and Goes in the past few months. Luckily, I compensated it with good live performances and my high rakeback (which secured me the Supernova Elite status) allowed me to generate profits anyway. A year of negative variance hasn’t been just a negative period of my poker life. It also helped me to understand myself and poker better. And it made me feel a better player.
I am now on the flight to Milan. From there, I’ll be heading to Sanremo where I am playing the Italian Poker Tour Grand Final.
I am planning to play all the IPTs of the next season plus a dozen of WSOP events from the 22nd of June till Main Event. I have also decided to play the whole European Poker Tour Season. The EPT schedule for Season 9 is very interesting, I would say the best ever. I really want to try to achieve a big result internationally as soon as possible.
Before this i will enjoy the summer time. I live in Sicily and I really don’t need to wait for the Bahamas’ PCA sunny days if I want to get a suntan :).
